I used Prezi for this demo. But, I’ve trouble integrating it into the blog template, getting the buttons to show and the text won’t post in the same blog posting. “Explain your educational philosophy” is a request most teachers are faced with during the job interview process. This question also came up in “Learning Processes and Educational Technology”. What you see via Prezi is an attempt at a concise version of my educational philosophy. Preparing an educational philosophy is a little challenging for me because I think of all the theorists, educational psychologists and personal mentors who have influences my thoughts about teaching and learning. There are a lot of them. I tried to pick a brief statement, or thought that encapsulated a deeper meaning for me. It is a work in progress. I would like to reflect more during the course of this semester on how my studies in Instructional Design have influenced my thinking and philosophy. I suspect that I have more of a formalized notion about the planning stages and evaluative stages. This is not to say that I neglected these areas before, rather that these areas are given greater emphasis within the realm of Instructional Design.
